NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Some of the world’s best athletes have descended on the Big Apple for the adidas Grand Prix, Saturday, June 14 at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island.
There are quite a few U.S. athletes competing in the meet, with stacked fields especially in the women’s pole vault, men’s 400 meters, women’s 1500 meters and the adidas women’s 100-meter hurdles. Many of the events are previews of the showdowns fans can expect to see at the USATF Outdoor Championships, June 25-29, in Sacramento at Hornet Stadium. Live webcast coverage of the adidas Grand Prix on USATF.tv begins at 2:58 p.m. ET with the men’s 800 meters “B” race and breaks at 4 p.m. ET after a highly-anticipated women’s 800 meters featuring reigning U.S. 1500m champion Mary Cain. Also included in the USATF.tv webcast window are the adidas Dream races, including the girls’ and boys’ adidas Dream 100m and the girls’ and boys’ adidas Dream Mile. Those races begin at 3:07 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will broadcast the meet live from 4-6 p.m. ET, both to a nationally-televised audience and online. USATF.tv picks up meet coverage again at 6 p.m. ET through the meet’s conclusion and will then air The Cool Down, USATF.tv's show with post-event highlights, exclusive athlete interviews and behind-the-scenes extras. Full start lists and live results can be found on the adidas Grand Prix website. Follow along live with USATF on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #agpnyc.
