At the inaugural IAAF World Relays last weekend, 31 athletes who will be competing at the adidas Grand Prix on June 14 won 33 medals, 14 of them gold. Five athletes—Yohan Blake, Nickel Ashmeade, and Warren Weir of Jamaica (4x200m) and Mercy Cherono and Irene Jelagat of Kenya (4x1500m)—will also come to NYC as newly minted World Record-holders thanks to their efforts in the Bahamas.
